Chapter 45 God is not only unique (v.5, 14), he is Israel's only Savior (also v5, v. 21), as well as the world's Savior (22-24). Also, like the Father, he had no beginning (John 1:1). He shares God's Glory (John 17:5, 24). But God doesn't share his Glory (Is 42:8; 48:11). Therefore Jesus is God Himself (although separate from the Father). But we cannot completely separate the Father and the Son. As part of the mystery of the Trinity they are joined and work in concert. The arm of the LORD in 53 is God in Trinity suffering for mankind. Therefore the accusation that PSA is some kind of divine child abuse completely misunderstand Scripture and the doctrine of the Trinity.
